Thank you to the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country.
This amazing woman turned 100 years old today. Six months ago I took a few portraits of Mary Alice at her home in North Carolina. She has the cutest sense of humor and kept joking about how I was taking too many photos of her. It’s remarkable to ponder all that she has been through and witnessed in 100 years. Happy birthday, Mary Alice!

One of my favorites from a recent bridal shoot with the lovely Veni.
I was glad to be back this year for Artspace Charter School’s After Hours Cabaret. The benefit was held at Diana Wortham Theatre in Asheville, NC and many great acts performed, such as Sirius. B, Hobey Ford, Honeybee Democracy, and Underhill Rose. There was a silent auction with lots of cool items to bid on and even a raffle for an iPad.
For the photography geeks: I shot this with a Nikon D4 using various Nikon lenses – 24mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4, 45mm 2.8 PC-E, 70-200mm vrII – and the Sigma 50mm 1.4 & 85mm 1.4.
